Meet Mitch

Hi, I’m Mitch Anderson, the founder and facilitator behind Epoch Breath.
My journey into breathwork started with a simple yet profound realization: the breath is one of the most powerful tools we have for healing, growth, and transformation.

I’ve always been passionate about working with people. From my early days coaching soccer to nearly a decade teaching Health and Physical Education, I’ve found joy in supporting others to connect with their potential. Along the way, my own journey of self-discovery led me to practices like meditation, plant medicine, and eventually breathwork—where I discovered a deeper connection to myself and the world around me.

Since becoming certified as a Trauma-Informed Breathwork Facilitator with Owaken Breathwork, I’ve had the privilege of holding space for people to access their inner healing, let go of what no longer serves them, and reconnect to their truth. It’s an honor to witness the profound shifts that can happen when we simply breathe with intention.

When I’m not facilitating, I’m embracing life with my wife, Jess, and our three beautiful kids. We live in Warburton in the amazing Yarra Valley surrounded by trees and right by the Birrarung river, where laughter and connection are at the heart of our daily lives.

I’m here to create spaces that help you feel safe, seen, and supported as you explore the power of your breath. Whether it’s your first time or you’re well-practiced, I’m excited to walk alongside you on this journey.

Our Story

Epoch Breath was born out of a deep desire to help people reconnect to themselves and to the present moment. The name “Epoch” reflects the vision: a transformative era where we live with greater awareness, authenticity, and heart-centered connection. The journey began with a personal exploration of breathwork’s power—how it can guide us beyond the noise of daily life and into a state of clarity, healing, and wholeness. Through years of learning, practice, and facilitating, this vision evolved into creating safe spaces where others could embark on their own transformative journeys.

Our Intention

At Epoch Breath, we’re here to support you in rediscovering your inner world. We believe that the breath is more than just a function of the body—it’s a bridge to emotional resilience, self-awareness, and peace.

Our intention is simple: to offer spaces where people feel seen, heard, and appreciated for who they are. Whether it’s through 1-on-1 sessions, group events, or workshops, we aim to empower each person to explore their inner landscape and unlock their unique potential.

What We Offer the Community

We envision a community grounded in compassion, connection, and truth. Through conscious breathwork, we aim to:

  • Help individuals release stress, trauma, and emotional tension.

  • Foster deeper connections with self and others.

  • Inspire a more heart-centered, sustainable way of living.

Our events welcome people from all walks of life, meeting them where they are and honoring their individual journeys. Together, we create spaces that encourage healing, introspection, and growth—whether it’s the quiet breakthrough of a 1-on-1 session or the powerful collective energy of a group experience.

Abstract Planet

My journey into breathwork began in 2015 when I discovered the Wim Hof Method. Over the years, this practice has transformed my life, guiding me toward a deeper connection with myself and a passion for facilitating healing and transformation in others. From my experiences as a classroom teacher in a Trauma Informed Community School to my work with disengaged youth, I've witnessed how vital breathwork is for self-regulation and finding clarity in a busy world.

A Breath-Centered Future

Epoch Breath isn’t just about facilitating sessions; it’s about inspiring a shift. In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, the breath reminds us of our innate ability to pause, recalibrate, and return to ourselves.

We’re here to guide, support, and walk alongside you as we co-create this new era—one breath at a time.
